BigSmooth - exactly and it's all good. I'm not trying to rat the guy out - in fact I specifically am leaving him out of it. I just want to acknowledge the contribution of the Softail to the ongoing success of the MoCo - something we can all be grateful for.
Well you are a whole lot nicer to that clown than I'd be. The problem on this, or any forum is that anybody can post. There are opinionated jerks, trolls, and bullshitters galore on this forum. I read answers to guys questions that are inaccurate almost daily. Fortunately most folks are just trying to get answers and others are happy to provide them. You have to learn to seperate the bozos from the guys who are acting like adults. I just happen to have both a hot Fat Boy and a cool Streetglide. I post on the Touring forum too. I think I'll try to find that post and respond.
Well I found the thread and see that he apologized. I'll be good. I'd blame it on cabin fever but I see the guy lives south of the equator where it's summer! Wonder why he's sitting at the computer when he could be riding that "perfect for everything bike" lol.

Don't waste your time. The moderator's already taken his posts down. A little heavy handed perhaps but maybe that's why this forum is successful. Nip it in the bud I guess. As far as I can tell the dude's for real, just a bit of a superiority complex (or compensating for something . And again - this isn't about starting anything here. Just lovin' my Fatboy . . and my Ultra Limited.

Indeed - most of what he posted has been pulled so you're only seeing a part. Don't bother to go hunting - not worth the trouble and it'll only get unwanted attention.
Totally agree with you; best of both worlds. I just sold my '09 Heritage to a neighbor/friend to get him back out on the road, and will be picking up another Heritage or Deluxe shortly. In fact, I'm wanting to sell my '09 Road Glide and will take a Heritage or Deluxe in trade if anyone is interested; can see the RG in the Classified section. I also am of the opinion that H-D would not be where they are today had they not come out with the Softail line 25+ years ago. Wonder if there's anything to the rumor of a Softail tourer; I think it would sell really well.
I have never understood in the Motorcycle world, why one GUY, really cares what another GUY rides??? If my choice bothers someone that much... buy me something else, or shut up..
The only bike I am concerned with is ......
