My bike rules, your bike sucks, and the more your bike sucks, the more my bike rules this is and old rule, it is copied from other rules about the superiority of 'insert my country here', 'insert my faith here' and 'insert people who look like me here' and 'insert my family members here' . Lighter version exist about the superiority of 'my sport team' and 'my car/horse/means', and of course, if you are a man, there is always the 'my you know what' is way bigger than yours LOL
hahahah I got through 3/4 of this thread before i realized it was a year old. Anyways, never rode a touring bike other than my friend's Street Glide, but that was just out of his driveway and back into it so i could turn the thing around easily enough.. im coming off a sportster hugger 883 to a fatboy lo 1584.. the difference is naturally incredible, but i'll wait until i actually get my life together so i can invest in a touring bike.. but that won't be for many more years.
Dude well put. All I can figure is the guy who jumped ur chit (for who knows what reason) has lotsa money never rode before, bought most trendy or expensive bike he could and rides it 300 miles a year just so he can wear his HD gear.
Heck, I feel I have the best of all worlds with my Heritage but that's just me. The dude that's angry about Softails probably forgot to take his meds that day. I mean seriously, of all the things to be angry about....hating Softails and Softail owners? Give me a break! Get a life and refocus some of that energy on something constructive. I liked your insight though on the touring and softail issue. Nice post.
Sorry, but I sold my dresser to build a hardtail. I do use a heritage seat on it though, and 09 FL fenders since I run a 200 rear tire. Wide glide being changed to spinger soon. Suspension is for old people, LOL.
