Default Cables?

Getting ready to order cables for my 16" apes. I have Barnetts on my current 12.5s and the cables are all +6. I was planning on going +10 on everything for the 16s.

Does this sound about right?

I contacted Hill Country Customs and they quoted me $240 for all the cables and brake line in the platinum finish from Barnett.

I was also considering the HD Diamond Back. Does HD make +10 sizes?

WARG, plus 8 should be long enough. If you are interested in us matching or beating HCC give us a call at the shop. Plus 10 will leave a bit more excess cable, but will work as well. Either way, good luck with the bars and pics of the bike when it is finished would be great.

Thanks for the replay, I may give you guys a call. We used +8 on my buddy's Road King and it seems like it all worked except maybe the brake line. It's been a coupple years, but it seems like we had to run to the dealer and get a longer brake line to finish up.

However, I don't want too much slack. That totally goes against the cleaner look I'm going for.

A good friend used plus 8 on his road glide. Nice tight fit. You can always use some cable clamps on the plus 10" to clean it up a bit.

WARG,

I would strongly recommend going with Magnum cables as their build quality is simple awesome! All of their cables are made by them in house and nothing is outsourced like other cable manufacturers.

Magnum is the only one with the black pearl stainless steel line style, which are the nicest black metal lines we have seen to date.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm calling Dr. VTWINs place tomorrow to finalize my order. Drew has been more than helpful.
