Anyone have experience with these? Quality, function, looks...All good or...?
planning for 14 inch apes, need to replace the stock brake line. Looking at the Diamond back lines and wondering do i need both upper and lower, or upper only?
Any suggested lengths based on 14 inch bar install would be helpful as well.
I have the brake, clutch, and throttle/idle cables. Have had them for the last 3 plus years. Look new and function better than stock in my opinion. T/I cables have easy adjust near the control switches. I have swapped my handle 5 times in the last 2 years and the ease of adjusting the T/I cables is great.
On another note I have the Magnum Shielding-Sterling/Chromite II plug wires to match my other cables and they are just as nice re quality fit etc...
I am almost positive that magnum shielding makes the diamond back cables for them. There are some old threads stating as such...
With regard to the HD and magnum shielding ie: T/I cables:
One thing I like about the Diamond Back HD T/I cables over the Magnum's is that they are 2 tone, with part of the cable being a black. The portion that rides up near the frame of the bike. This allows a blending of black near the frame as they exit the area of the handle bars. It is a minor issue, but I think it is a good one.
Fit, function, quality and looks are all top notch!
You have a one piece line now so if you got the modular (upper and lower) then you will need both or just order a longer one piece line. I have th DiamondBlack - looks good and quality seems nice too - no issues with them.
