Anyone want to do me a favor and take a look at these pics and see if your triple tree looks the same way? I had a burly lowering kit installed, and ever since (only about 300 miles on it) I have been hearing a clank when going over RR tracks and such. I thought no biggie, I was just bottoming out with the new lower springs. Well, last night I noticed what appeared to be an odd angle of the clamp around the bolt thingy (my technical term). Hopefully my silly bad photographic skills will make sense of this rambling...
This one is the bottom nut. notice the sharp lean forward off of the but nut thingy...
and the top. That sucker is def not flush all the way around.
What does your xbones look like? Am I being paranoid, or is Daddy's Little Death Machine really trying to kill him?
my front end is stock apart from RSD apes and my bolt thingy on the triple trees definately looks different and sits plum. you may have an issue here whether related to the lowering kit or not. hope this helps.
Got an 2007 Springer Classic, first time I saw that I ****.
It's normal can't remember the reason for it at the moment.
If it comes to me I'll Post or PM.

Awesome. Let me know if you think of it...It does have me a bit worried. I might make this become an excuse to go down to the local HD dealer on lunch tomorrow and look at a floor model xbones. If that one is flush back to the indy I go.
I saw the first pages pics...his looks identical if not moreso "angled" than mine. How crazy! I wonder if it is a semi-random thing or if they are just all like that.
On that note, anyone else experience a new "clank" after lowering a springer in front?
