Default Deluxe stock bars!

Here's a question for all the Deluxe owners out there.

Has anyone kept their stock bars but changed their risers?

I was thinking of doing this to hopefully give me a little more room in the seat, as I'm 6'2".
If so how do you find it? Can you keep the stock cables or do you have to change them out too?

If your not running this configuration, what are you running?

Tough one I know as everyone is different.

Hope one of you guys can help out a fellow deluxe owner.

I kept it all stock........but seriously; there's a cheaper route to try first. Loosen the clamp and rotate the bars up or down. I rotated mine down it feels a lot better. You may not be able to invision it; but if you do it (especially rotating down); you will notice a difference. May/may not work for you; but worth a try.....I also had my seat reworked. Put me back 2 inches and down about an inch. Do a search and you see this conversation a number of times from deluxe owners.

I'm not a Delux owner, but am a Fat Boy owner and did the very same thing you are thinking about. I kept the stock bars but added 4 1/2 inch risers and it made all the difference in the world riding that darn bike. No more pain in the shoulders, neck or arms. Good Luck.

Thanks Guys for the responses. I will definitely try and twist my bars down to see if that helps. I have felling though i will have to go with the shorter risers, we'll see.
