Just received the tribal phantom pad (why did they name it "phantom"...strange) for any possible passengers that I may get and also just ordered a Pacific blue metal flake biltwell with some sparrows and pinstriping....should be done in two weeks but the below images will give you an idea of the concept:
Not sure if the pad will work on the chopped fender (not enough strength in the metal) so I may need to put the stock one back on........
I was initially skeptical about putting weight on the stock fender due to hearing that it should not be done for obvious reasons but saw someone who was using it and his wife had no problems with it. I know on my chopped stock fender it would not work but I will have to throw on my stock (not chopped) fender.
Whoa, that is a bold move to put a passenger on that swingarm mounted fender. HD measured 10g's of force during riding tests. I know my wife and I have hit cracks in the road that jolted both our spines while using the rocker seat with passenger pillion mounted seat. There is a chance your wife will be a few inches shorter once you get to your destination.
