Does anyone know what size bolts are used to mount an aftermarket solo seat to the frame on an 07 flstc? Just bought a used bare bones, and it didn't come with hardware. thanks in advance.
Most seats mount to a hole in the fender, not the frame.
Go to the local dealer and get a screw kit for it.
It comes with a special blind nut that fits under the fender hole and a chrome 1/4-20 (I think) screw for just that.
Unlike many HD parts its not expensive so you won't need to bring a loan application with you.
PS Sorry I can't find the PN for it right now, but even a half decent parts person should be able to give it to you.

just take out the bolt where it goes and get one longer. or, if there isn't one, it's the same bolt as holds the rear fender bracing on.
Yea that bolt is a 1/2"X13, but I think it may be longer than 1/2".
I replaced all of those bolts with SS threaded rod so I could top them with SS acorn nuts and found that nearly every one of those bolts is a different length.
I would get a couple of them 1/2" long and a couple that are 3/4" with a couple of SS flat and 2 split washers just in case. They are cheap enough that having to make a second trip would cost more in gas than an extra set of bolts would.
