Default Bolt for seat

Had a nice bolt east to turn by hand well lost it a couple days ago need to know rough idea what size it is so i can go to hardware store thanks and if it matter it's a 96 softail

I know it is a fine thread bolt.

Is it the screw in the center of the rear fender, or one of the two bolts on the side of the frame? The screw in the fender is a 1/4-28 (approx. 1/2" long) fine thread, the bolts in the frame are 1/2-13 x 3/4" long if that helps.

Consider reinstalling from inside the fender with a little blue locktite. Acorn nut or some thing similar after seat is in position.

I broke one of mine, and could NOT find the right length bolt, must be some kind of Harley thing. They were either to long or to short.

The 1/4-28 by 1/2 is right on the money just need a washer and lock wash ire works perfectly
