Default Heat Shield

I started my bike to let it run for a while and I was wearing a pair of fleece sweat pants and yep got to close to the pipes! and it has milted or should say welded to the heat shield what is a good way to get that crap off with ?

Warm the bike up and spray some easy off oven cleaner on a rag AWAY FROM THE BIKE. Wipe the heat shields and the pants should come right off. Pardon the pun. LOL.

I have a can sitting in the garage just in case. I have used it once when my oil dipstick popped out on a long trip and oil was burned to my pipes. It worked like a charm.

Whatever is in the oven cleaner can eat away the finish on your bike, whether it be tins, engine finish,wheels or whatever. I read about it before using it myself so I came out golden, but that is why. Drew
