Default SE Deuce Tach Problem

I am new tothis website and I enjoy reading the articles. I have learned alot. I own a 2004 SE deuce. The Bike Has been in storage for the last four years. I recently started using it again and after a tune up/fluid flush everything is working great except my tachometer. When I turn the ignition on the needle moves just a small amout then goes back to to zero. The light does work. when I ride the bike the needle does not move at all. If I remember correctly, when the ignition is turned on the tack should do full sweep with needle and then return to zerorpm? Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated. TTM

Tagged - I have a friend I am trying to help with the same problem.

I think it only sweeps when you are checking for codes by pressing the odometer reset button when turning on the ignition.
