I had the original air cleaner on before, and on the back side there was an electrical plug attached. It wasn't hooked up to anything. What is it for, and do I tuck it somewhere now?

Blue loctite is all you need. The plug is used on EURO models for an active intake (EPA thing). Most just tie wrap it to a convenient wire somewhere.
