i got the $20 bolts off of ebay and they work great for me. easy to use. my cousin seen my bike after i installed them and he had me get him and set and do his bike also. he does solo and 2 up riding and neither of us have had any problems
Get the burnout cycles kit from JP cycles. I know a couple guys that run it and are happy. It is adjustable and you don't have to disassemble the shocks. That is what I am going with soon ($70).
I can't find the burnout cycles kit on J&P's website. As a matter of fact I don't see anyone having them. Any chance they have changed their name?
Iv been looking for a good value myself. Hoping that somone will pipe up and say "Hey, these are GREAT, dont waste your bucks on the MOCO kit!" and It seems like this is exactly what Iv been looking for.
These are the progressives I was talking about. Has anyone used these?
I think I read someplace that they have a preload which softens the ride a little versus just extending the shock which, from what I understand, stiffens up the rear end. You can find these on ebay for $100. I just happen to have found a set for $20 (but not chrome - which I don't care about) but it states that they are 2000 - 2006.
Those (progressive) are just extended bolts with progressive bushings...same as the $20.00 cheepo's. Pre-load is adjusted with a spanner wrench on the shock.... You should do a search and read. There are tons of threads on "how to adjust pre-load" on softail shocks.....good luck
