I put mine up cause it gives plenty of room to see what your doing, and clearance for turning wrenchs. I guess you could do it on the ground but it might be difficult

I've adjusted the bolts while my bike was sitten on the ground and it was super easy. I actually prefer this way so you can see exactly how much adjustment you have made. Kind of gets old jacking the bike up then down several times to get the right height.

Oh well glad i got air now...

Do they adjust with a regular wrench or do I need a spanner wrench?

Also they go under the bike parallel with the frame right? Sorry I'm a noob

regular wrench for lowering kit. spanner wrench to set shock pre-load,yep parallel to bike underneath, those two cannister looking things. please dont take this the wrong way as I mean no offense, but you may want to let someone else with a little more familarity to this stuff do it for you. when working on a motorcycle saftey is a real concern. one wrong or missing bolt can kill you.

Don't worry I'm not going to be doing anything but riding the bike. I am not mechanical so figure everything is twice as much for me.

Just good to know just in case

Take care,

if you have the chance, just watch and learn everybody starts somewhere. the fact that your here means you have an inquisitive mind. working on your own bike will not only save you alot of cash but it is as rewarding as the ride itself (to me anyway). just be smart enough to know when your over your head.be safe and good luck.
