I'm looking at buying some forward controls and I'm leaning towards the PM contours. But are they really that good that they're like 300.00 more than the Accutronix for example. Any feedback would be greatly apreciated. Thanks in advance.
Over $1K for forward controls is just plain ridiculous!!!!! I recently bought a set of Accutronix 3" extended controls and paid $535 shipped BRAND NEW! I'd say save your $$ and search for a better deal. ebay/craigslist etc..
The PM's are nice controls. I run them on my Rigid and on the Rigid before that. I can't say they are "Worth" more than any other brand. For me I like the design, finish and feel of them.
In my opinion, and from my experience, I say buy what you want and like. If it costs more; save a little cash and wait a little while until you can spring for it because your getting what you truly want!
PM is very OVER-RATED, you cant beat ACCUTRONIX!!! Ordered the PM CONTOURS a few years ago from my dealer.
When i saw the QUALITY, ( very CHEAP LOOKING ) i returned them. Even though i knew i was going to take a loss for restocking!
There was thread somewhere recently about a lot of people having issues with their chrome peeling. I know people who run tons of Accutronix stuff and have had no issues as well. I vote for getting what you really want the first time so the first time si the last time. If you need discounted pricing on forwards, shoot me a PM with a part number if you have it and I'll take care of you. I can ship USPS to you guys up north in Canada so shipping is not a killer.
PM stuff looks great, if you like it save up and get it. As an owner of their hand controls and front brakes, performance wise I've noticed no difference.
