Thanks Jamie - and I just have to ask also, where did you get your a/c cover and horn cover from? They fit the bike perfectly! I have a stage 1 a/c kit on the way but cant choose a cover for it. The HD "nostalgia" one is not bad, but yours is better.

The air cleaner cover, derby, timer and horn cover design are the "flying wheel" that were manufactured by harley for a while but have been discontinued. (it's an old knucklehead reproduction design) I found the timer, derby and A/C covers at a HD dealership in North Carolina.
The horn cover is just the standard round smooth hd horn cover, and I bought an old two hole Evo "flying wheel" timer cover on ebayand just drilled a couple of holes and mounted it
My inspiration comes from Nikonf8 deluxe. Mike has what I think has the nicest deluxe I've seen....might not be everybody's taste...but its mine. Hope that helps,
I've got the same pipes on my deluxe. I really like the looks of the true dual fishtails on a deluxe. Went back and forth between V&H and Samson, but decided on the V&H since they had the options of different baffles, and end pieces....fishtail, slash, straight. They sound great, but I did go back and install the quite baffles just recently.
Your Bike looks great! V&H True Duals were my winter mod as well. Installed quiet baffles and I am impressed by the sound. I also agree that the instructions left a bit to be desired, but after a couple of close reads they made sense.
Lookin' good. They were the first modification I did to my new Deluxe...the V&H True Duals with fish tips and the Stage 1 mods...it's like that first buy opened the door to accessory land and now I can't get out...

Thanks, do you know of any other cool options besides HD's genuine "nostalgia" a/c cover? Its nice but it just doesn't have that feel to it that the old flying wheel pattern does....
