Default Crossbones' Seat

Has anyone else experienced their rear end sliding around on the Crossbones seat while wearing blue jeans? While accelerating yesterday I felt a sensation as if the bike were sliding out from underneath me.

I think it's just getting used to the seat, I kind of felt like I was sliding forward a little, then went to 2" springs and felt like I was going back a little, both feelings went away after riding the first 500 or 1000 miles.

Yes, that was one of the reasons I had to make the switch to the brawler. I was willing to sacrifice the look of the springer seat.....

Yup, used to "slide off" when accelerating, replaced seat with the 1925 model I picked up on ebay, same seatpan, but less padding so you sit about 1" deeper and the back of the seat is higher. Also the leather seat gives better "grip" on jeans and is way more comfortable as far as I'm concerned.

I didn't like the stock seat from the first time I sat on mine. That's why the first thing I bought for the bike was the Standard Leather Solo Saddle P/N 52004-25. (Yes, I did have the opportunity to sit on a Bones with that seat before I bought it.) Way more comfortable than it looks.

I also have an 07 Road glide. It dose take a little getting use to the Xbones stock seat but is sure rides nice. Can't believe the difference in the ride from the 02 heritage that I had. I put 25,000 miles on it. Looking forward to putting some miles on the Xbones

Change the overstuffed stock seat out for the Harley 1925 or similar. I'm using a WLA repro seat. Holds you in much better.
