I'd buy it for that price . That bike is loaded with accessories . NONE of the bikes skyline posted are near the bike the O.P. posted .
where at in the winterwonderland of PA are you? I am in chambersburg...actually got out on my deuce this week...65 and sunny...and snow is all melted...originally from johnstown..where my parents still have over a foot on the ground still...
see if you can find out where the bike was originally purchased, take the vin number to service and have em run it. you can get a printout of all dealer installed accessories and service. I'd bet that bike has 11,000 worth of add ons easy! sweeeeet!!!

All the bikes I linked, with the exception of 1 had mods and extra's. I'm trying to give the OP some options maybe he hasn't looked at. A lot of private party deals throw in extra's like seat$, bars, factory parts you can sell or put back on the bike at a later time. Most dealers wont throw in the extras and then there's generally taxes and doc fee's etc that all add up on top of the price tag. Any cleaned + polished bike w/pics taken in a dealer is going to look great under their "nice" lighting, and its a nice bike no doubt. I'm just saying there's deals to be had. As far as mod's go, i rarely pay full retail on anything.. just sit around and wait for the deals! I'm w/Kiwi on the '03 models.. its gotta have the anniv. paint!
I agree about the 03 having the anniv. paint and tags, mine is a 03 but as you can see there is not much left of the original bike. Over $25000.00 of aftermarket parts & work done on this scoot is the only reason I paid $13 500.00. As far as 03 making it collectable, not on this one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1D2Ebk0fCw
Well I paid $11k for my '03 Deuce Anniv Addn 3 years ago at this time, 1500 miles. Had some extras on it when I got it, prolly $2k worth. But I'd say I got a pretty good deal at the time. You can pick them up around $9-9.5k around here now...idk. That one is pretty loaded up tho...
Thanks guys for the input, trying to convince myself to lay out that kinda cash ha ha.... Just trying to make sure its decently priced and all things are in order ....And yes I have heard a few things about the 03's being collectors too. I wonder how much truth their will be to that...
They'll only be collectors and worth something if you have the original tins. If you get those along with the bike, I'd say you got a good deal. Peace.
