Check out this link. Got the idea from a post in AI magazine. Looks like a "cool" significanltly less messy way to do Softail oil change. Kind of pricey, but it doubles at an oil cooler, as well. Opinions/experiences welcome.
I did ask for opinions, and actually I think is looks pretty slick. If you look at a lot of custom bobbers, the builders are either hanging the oil bag or the oil filter out in the wind. Gives it that old school look. It's not that the oil filter is in a hard place to get to, it is just a huge mess to change the oil, and if I can get my motor to run even 5-10 degrees cooler, all the better. Anyone else have thoughts or input on this? Thanks.
mmmm not sure whether it is something needed, not sure there are any real cooling advantages, that cooling argument sounds a little like "you can save air conditioning costs if you use a smart phone instead of Laptop since smartphones create less heat".
and you are probably looking at another thing that can break.
Thanks all, too pricey I think is the bottom line. Also not sure what it would do to oil pressure, etc. Think I'll save the $$ for a set of Wood's 6-6 cams.
