According to kuryakyn the cruise arms III and the standard lengh version of the mark IV's won't wok with the relocator brackets. My guess would be the front relocator bracket would interfere with the mounting of the III's to the bottom of the boards and the front of the floorboard would hit the standard version of the IV's because to boards were moved 1 inch forward. If you look up the relocator bracket 7529 on the kuryakyn site it is written in the description of the brackets Anyway I'm happy that I decided to get the IV's so I can stretch out alittle more. Thanks again guys.
ok... that makes more sense..... I used HarleyGoodies board extenders - which moved the boards outqard about 1 3/4 inches and tourring floorboards - which moved my boards forward about 2 inches. thus the Mark IIIs bolted right to the "stock" boards.

whatever it takes to make you comfortable, right?

I got tired of not being able to stretch out my legs and get comfortable so I finally installed a set of Mark III's on my Fatboy. What was I thinking waiting 3 years to make this mod?? The Mark III's are great!!! I finally have another place to rest my feet and stretch-out.

Guys are any of you running the IVs with an extended brake pedal? I already got my IVs in the house, but I'm not sure now if I'm gonna have enough clearance there. The extended lever is a little lower and more out than stock

+1 on that. I got the regular ones and I'm on 5'10". I hunted and found a part of of something (not sure what it is or the part number) that bolted on to them and moved my feet up and out. The fit perfect now. Go for the extended.

Alright - put my Mark IVs on today... clearly there is an issue with the rear brake pedal pad... So I have to do something about it - longer pegs? Here is a bunch of pics

you can get footpeg extensions, or you can try just rotating them up some. I had to add a part to mine to make them work, I'll see if I can get you a pic and a part number tomorrow night. Yours look to far forward, but hard to tell from the pics and everyone is gonna set them up a little different. I have mine so I can either put my feet right up on them, or just rest my toes on them with my heels on the floorboards. I'll get back to you.

Thanks jlasoftail! I'd appreciate some pics and info. I actually couldn't go up any higher because of the extended brake clearance issues - it's longer than the new stock ones and was hitting the Kury arm while pressed about 50% in.

I have the Mark IV's on my heritage; I had to fabricate an extension block to make them fit, but they are absolutely the best thing in my bike, to me. So comfortable! I'll try to take a pic for you. They move the arms forward about an inch and up about a half inch, as I recall. I also moved my brake pedal cover in as far asas I could without drilling new holes. This required grinding the brake pedal mounting plate down some, but that's easy, and isn't exposed when the pedal cover is installed. I'll see if I can get some pics for you later. Whatever it takes to make these babies work is worth it in my opinion!

Reread my post; better said, my arms could not be raised up enough, especially on the brake side, same as yours, chi45cken. So what i did was make a bracket that extended the arm mounting location forward and up some. Then I was able to rotate them up enough so that they were I'm a good position. If I mash my brake really hard, it touches the arm, but the wheel will lock up way before that anyway. Stand by for pics...
