I put it on a shelf in the garage, which is where it's gonna stay
I just plan on using my self integrated air speed indicator (lick finger and hold in the air).

Talking My Plans

OK I have put much thought into this for over a year now. This is what i am doing to completely smooth my tank. First i have bought a tank from HD, for $405.00, primed and ready for paint with out the Bar and Shield stamped in to the tank. Then I have a welder working on moding the tank to install the RSD Gas-It to place it on the bottom of the tank. That way I can still get to my internals and seal up the top of the tank. Then I will either use the Badlands Digital Mirrors or I may use a Dakota Digital Speedo / Tack / info display. I am not sure which route I will go yet. I am thinking that since I will have BR Bars and the Climax Controls to have everything internal (wires, cables, reservoirs and all). I am thinking about going withthe Badlands Digital Mirrors. That way there is nothing but bars, grips, hand levers, and mirrors. I mean that would be supper clean. It is not going to be cheap to do this but that is what I want and it WILL happen. MUHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!! Just my

RSD Gas-It Kit

Badlands Digital Mirrors

or

Dakota Digital

Climax Controls

Anyway that is my plans for right now. Unless someone has better ideas. I would love to hear them.

That RSD gas kit looks interesting, will check it. I want stay with original gas tank because i like the badges
I decided not to go with digital mirros but use some small speedo. I want definitely turn leds, neutral light, etc. That Dakota digital is solution but i am thinking to find something more traditional but small, i just did not find anything for late 2009 softail yet.

That climax hand controls ar bad ***, i would go with internal cables immediately, just my knowledge about this is 0. I have no idea how it works, where is brake tank, etc. Can i use my current Carlini T bars? Maybe good subject for new threat.

Damn, just see that these Climax hand controls cost 1800 bucks. Little bit too much for me now I think i will survive without them. Is there any cheaper solution for internal cables?

I wanted to keep the HD tank also that is why I had my indie to call and see about getting the tank. But since I wanted it smooth he was able to get it with out the Bar and shield pressed in. Chances are that you could get the OEM tank withthe bra and shield pressed in for aobut the same cost. The RSD kit just takes a little fab work to get it to work with it.

Yes the Climax Contrls are not cheap at all and I know it all has to do with time, money and what you are wanting. I am getting alot done right now since I am still in Iraq for 60 more days. My Bars and Climax Contols is part of my next winter mods along with the tank smoothing. I am not sure if there are other ways to have all your cables internal than that way. Here is a pic of how it looks uninstalled.

Here is a pic of how it looks installed with the Dakota Digital Mirrors.

See I want the complete clean, no cables seen. This is the only way that I have found to do it. So I will just suck it up and pay the cost.

As far as where the brake fluid goes. The Brake Resevoir is in the Grip it self. If you look at the pics below you will see the cut away section where the grip sits. The resevoir is inside, under where the gip sits.

The left side is where the clutch fluid goes if it is needed. I hope this helps to answer your questions.
