How can we get a Heartland EZ-200 group buy going. I would think we could get the price down with multiple orders. Anybody else in; ifso maybe we can get one of the vendors to facilitate it.
I spoke with Ian at Heartland this am and asked about a group buy. I have not heard anything back. A lot of companies dislike group buys as they see it as devaluing their product. I will call them back tomorrow and see what I can do. The part that makes this really difficult is that they have so many different kits and to find enough people for a group buy on any one of them in particular is difficult at best. I'll let you guys know.
I have the heartland 200 kit on my train and love it!!
But I agree with the doc it would be hard to do a group buy cause they arent as universal as say an air ride system. I mean you got your 200 kit for the duece and a kit that works for both the night trains and customs. The older softails can only fit a 180 unless you do major mods to them and also I think im not for sure but they are year specific because when I ordered mine from my dealer they had one in stock that fit an 07but heartland said it wouldnt fit on my 09.
I hope the group buy works out for you guys because its an awesome set up and its the best kit out there if you ride two up because you can get the detachable rear seat and sissy bar. The price of these kits do need to come down and if heartland agrees to do a group buy everybody should jump on it.
