I bought this bag a year ago. It's worth every penny and the Latch works great!
How does it attach and can anyone come along and take it off if your not around? Also does it mark up the swingarm or did you cover the swingarm with something first. I need to get some kind of bag or rack on my 08 Fat Boy to ride to work.
There are 4 leather small "belts" that wrap around the swingarm. They are like a mini belt. Kind of a pain to get tight. I have read other threads where people are putting something on the swingarm under the belts to prevent eventual rubbing of the paint. I will get to that, but was too excited and just wanted to get it on and ride.
Someone could take the bag if they wanted to I suppose by opening the bag and unbuckling the belts. My gut is they will be taking whatever is left inside and hopefully leave the bag alone.

Someone needs to work on a "bag monkey" for theft...
Gentlemen, I have a couple of questions;
Swing arm bags attatch directly to the swing arm itself.
Because the swing arm is constantly moving up and down, what would stop the contents of the bag from getting scrambled about ?
And what would prevent the attatchment points from rubbing the swing arm tubing raw because of said movement ?
I love the look of them, but I doubt their practicality.
