Default Painting solid rear wheel?

I've got my tins at the painters so I got to looking at my solid rear wheel and since it might be a year two before I can switch to a rear spoked it got me thinking about painting it black like a Nightrain. Has anybody ever rattle canned the center of a solid rear wheel? If so how did you prep and paint it? Any help would be great! Thanks.

Just removing wheels today and going to paint black as well. I will powder coat it by flat black. The powder coating company know what to do.

I used Duplicolor Black brake caliper paint from a rattle can two yers ago and it still looks good.
It has a low sheen not totaly flat looks better than flat on a wheel IMO.

I used prepsol to wash wax, oil and dirt away then wiped down with a clean cotton cloth I did this several times before laying down the paint.

The total cost was under $20 all supplies bought at autozone.

I've got a new can of bbq black paint so I'll probably just use that. It should work good enough until I buy a spoked rear wheel. Thanks for the help.
