Wheel paint???
Yeah, I'm gonna do this when I get off my ****. I'll take pix
Ive used both plasti-dip and Duplicolor Wheel paint. Plasti Dip is awesome stuff, you can actually buy it now to go in sprayers and do entire cars in it. They are making a lot of different colors as well, and also a "Metalizer" to give it a metallic finish. Get tired of the color- peel it off. Also, it doesnt really require any prep work.
Duplicolor wheel paint works really well, I re-did my truck wheels about 2 yrs ago in aluminum color with clear coat and they look factory still. Have held up GREAT.
Also, FWIW, I used Rustoleum on my fork legs about 4 yrs ago. Laid it on really wet and it has held up awesome, everyone thinks the legs are powdercoated.

I've had good luck with appliance paint from lowes. Its enamel an pretty tough stuff, an it's cheap.

Im thinkin maybe powder coat but I wanna leave the outer edge and the edges of the fins unpainted....just wondering if that will work with powder coat or will they chip where the powder coat meets the unpainted part?? Guess I'll find out when I talk to the powder coater....if it's not possible I'll go the paint route.
The most simple color wheel consists of a circle divided into six equal wedges. Your colors in the yellow top of the wedge. Under normal circumstances, the mixing tube colors will produce secondary colors does not always answer your expectations.
