hey guys just replaced the clutch pads. when its back together its all the way till i can feel tightness and then half turn back on the clutch adjustment correct?
The plates will stick to the steel discs when you first run it if they are not soaked, some wrenches say they also swell (personally I don't think they do). What primary fluid did you use? Type F Auto Trans Fluid will keep them quiet and eliminate the first shift "clunk". Since you didn't soak them pull your clutch in while cranking with the plug wires disconnected this will allow fluid between the plates. Do this a few times and you should be ok. If you do it with plugs connected when it fires it will spin the fluid out. You can also tie the lever back and let it sit, rolling the engine once over every 10 minutes for about a half hour.
So were I'm at is I put the pads in and put it back together. Rode it around the block. The clutch isint slipping but I'm haveing a hard time adjusting it. Dosint want to move on its own when its in gear with clutch in sitting there. But really hard to shift through gears. And I'm using screaming eagle primary fluid from the bike shop.
