Default prewired bars

Has anyone installed pre wired apes on their ride? It looks like they would be easy to do but I haven't seen any in person to see what kind of quality they are. Any thoughts?

To install prewired apes you still remove the tank or slide it back to get to the plugs for the hand controls. Unplug those(there are two), remove the bars and put the new ones in the risers. Plug in the new controls, clamp the bars into the risers. You will most likely need new throttle idle and clutch and brake lines. This is where the work comes in. It is much easier to tun the throttle and idle cables with the tank off. The brake line needs to be filled with fluid and bled, and the tranny side cover needs to come off so you can put the new clutch cable on. All in all it is a lot less ork to do it this way than to wire it as well, but the way I see it, if you a re already taking things apart you might as well rewire them yourself. The wiring will probably take and extra couple of hours but the personal satisfaction is priceless. Drew
