Default LED Bulb question

I did a search and found some information, but nothing very clear.

I believe vibration is killing my running lights all the time. I keep replacing them. I am thinking about dropping LED Bulbs into my existing turn signals. I have smoked lenses with amber bulbs right now.

I have an 06 FXSTI. Would I need to do anything other than just replace the existing bulbs with LEDs? Anyone know where I can get the bulbs I'm looking for for front and rear? Model #'s? I'd prolly also replace the tail light bulb as well while I'm at it.

Is this even possible? I will also post this in the electrical section.

Thanks to all in advance!!!!!!!!

JP Cycles the part house that sends everyone the big fat catalogue every few months has them listed for about every application on the planet. Probably Direct Parts does also. Check with the sponser Eastern Performance Cycle they have great prices on stuff but don't know if they handle LEDs.

I seen some posts that state you may need to add a resistor or something to the circuit to 'load it up'. LEDs require less current than conventionl bulbs. The flash rate may not be correct without loading up the circuit. Dig around a little. I'm sure you will find all the answers. I usually do.

Check out the Radiantz LED clusters. Supposed to be really bright. I have a set on order right now. They are a little pricey but you get what you pay for. You can get them through M&M Cycle. They are in the Custom Chrome catalog.

Also when running LED's you will need a load equalizer or you will get what is known as hyperflash. There are many options for this. I went with the Biketronics Tailbones which is a run/turn/brake module with a built in load equalizer. Also available through M&M.
