What brand of bags are these ? Specs? Stretch, etc. Bike Looks AWESOME
Thank you for the compliments! They're actually just fiberglass bags off of eBay. I paid $180 shipped to my doorstep, which I thought was a helluva deal. They're a 6" stretch so they scrap easily. The good thing is I haven't painted them yet so it's all good (and I can always ride a little higher with the air ride if need be).
I'm actually in the process of cutting out some areas and re-fiberglassing them to allow room for my axle nut covers. I'm gonna fab up a metal strip for the bottom edge and corners too. Then I'll paint them. Should look a lot better after that.
Almost finished with my sons Heritage. He wanted to do a SG clone. Hard bags are next. Was looking at some of the mounts on eBay. What's your thoughts on those? Will be mounting HD OEM bags. I wanna use mounts that put the bag where it looks like it should be there instead of looking like it doesn't belong.
Thew baggertail mounts from Cyclevisions, are perfect for what you are doing! They are pretty straight fdorward to install ,and the are super secure. The bags clip on just like they do on a SG. Nice bike!

Thanks I'll check those out as well. Appreciate the kudos. So far ole "Dad" has footed the bill for all of his upgrades (including the bike). I tell him all the time I wish I had a dad like his!!!!

Do you fill his tank too?...will you adopt me...please oh and ...shhhh
If he's riding with us I do most of the time. Can't help it he's a really good kid. Just does me good to be able to do for him.
Plus it's not like he's 30yrs old. He's only 19 and riding and working on them together is very rewarding for me.
As far as baggertails are concerned, I didn't think the installation was so straight forward... Really vague and the illustrations are the worst.. I called tech support.. Helped,, they are the best mounts out there for sure...
I was spooked by how easy it is to steal the hardbags.... I bought the anti theft kit
