Almost everyone on his site is in the states and gets to see and hear all different exhaust, not me. I am on Okinawa (by choice) and we do have Harleys but not as many as you think. I have a 2008 Softail Custom with Rinehart by Bub, Im sick of these pipes! I can not find fuel maps and FuelMoto will make me one close to what will work but the solid heat shields are now changing to a gold color. Im picky and I dont like it! I want a loud good sounding pipe that I can get fuel maps for. I have been looking at the Vance and Hines Long Shots and the Big Radius 2 into 1. For the guys that have seen them, own them or heard them, what do you all think about them?? Other suggestions about pipes that I can get a fuel map for are always welcome, I dont have access to a dyno though!
ummmm, I took it off. The guy at fuelpak told me to use the maps for 3 different pipes and after testing all 3 and talking to him some more we couldnt find anything to get close. I thought that my starting problem , described here- https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...ng-issues.html
was being caused by the fuelpak because I never had any trouble starting the bike until I installed it. I took it off and installed the Xied's hoping that would correct the starting and fuel issues but it didnt. Jamie at FuelMoto thinks the PCV with his map would get the fuel issue fixed but yesterday when I was at the Harley event on Camp Foster is when I noticed the pipes are changing colors, the header section of the pipes are now more of a gold color instead of chrome. Im tired of the bike not running right all because of a fuel map for the exhaust that I have, thats why Im ready to buy a new exhaust.
the D&D looks good. Im realy thinking about the Big Radius 2 into 1 but I wish I could hear it first! If I go with this one does anyone know if I have to relocate the pass foot peg??
get you a thundermax with the auto tune and then you can go any pipe you like and never require a dyno tune. i once had rush slip ons and used the stock heat shields.
as far as how loud they are they are louder than my 2 into 1 cobra power pro, that probably doesn't help you any. as far as a baffle for it i think it sounds great just the way it is. probably won't help much but you tube has sound clips
I just installed the V&H bigshots long and I love them. They look great and have the classic Harley sound. The double barrel are very similar and I think that you will be happy with them as well.
