I was looking for more sound.... Thanks to all your help, I pulled the trigger on some new Rush 2.0 Slip ons.
My findings...
1. The bike sound great now.
2. Slip ons don't just "slip on". Any work on a Harley is a ****... not a MoCo.
3. I got a great deal on the mufflers on ebay... $180 delivered.
4. I have the stock air cleaner and the bike seemed to run perfect today without a fuel management system (there's a lot of debate on this subject). No popping... no excess heat (and it was in the 80s here today) and the bike actually ran a little bit better. No loss of low end torque.
5. Did I mention that it sounds great?
Anyway my Screaming Eagles are/will be shortly for sale cheap on the Parts For Sale Forum. They are not bad sounding pipes... I just wanted louder. But the Rushes are still not as loud as the setup on my Dyna.
there is fiberglass wrap around the outside of the baffle, you cant see it unless you remove it. heat will eventually burn it off and they will truley rock!

You will definitly like them. I have them on my Heritage with the 2" baffles. Sound great but too loud to **** off the neighbors. Plus I like the fact that you can change out the baffles if you want to change the sound.
