Default Warm Up

Hey guys, my garage stays about 60-65 degrees year round. How long would you all suggest I run it to warm up to operating temp? It feels pretty warm after just a couple of minutes, but I don't want to ride it too soon and cause any premature damage.

Thanks for the insight.

you should be good to go as soon as you hit the starter no need to warm up these are built like a tank unless you are living up in the north where temps dip below 30... just ride on

I start mine and let it run while I'm putting on my helmet and gloves then I'm off. Never seemed to have any issues.

Punch and go, putt calmly out of the neighborhood for about 2 mins, then nail it.

This is for EFI of course.

Basically the same here. I'll sit there and check out my tires, brakes, etc. a little after I start it and then I'm off on my way. Usually only about a minute before I slap her into first gear.

my bike is also efi, when you first crank it the idle is a little higher. after a minute or so the idle settles in and im gone, thats on cold starts. if its already warmed up i just crank it and go. dont know if its right are wrong but thats how I do it.

97 carbed evo for me, I usually crack the choke on the S&S, fire it up, and put my gear on from dead cold, once the revs start to go up a bit, I drop the choke to 1/2 and go. I usually only baby it for the first 2 blocks, just to get some warm oil moving. then its full on.
