If you think your tough because you ride a hard tail or go long distance on a luxury cruiser, I had an uncle back in the sixties that bought a new Harley 350 Sprint and he was in his thirties. Him and his wife decided to ride it from the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania area to see his sister that lived in El Centro California. They stayed a couple weeks and rode it back again. If that weren't tough enough, they made the same trip again a couple years later on the same bike. That says something about the toughness of that little Harley too.
That's pretty cool...
Do you have any pictures from their trip?
No, but I wish I did. Just memories about them telling us about the ride. I really gave my aunt the credit for riding on the back that far and then willing to do it again two years later. My wife is only good for about 100 miles on the back of my new Heritage.
Gives you an idea how spoiled we all are these days.
But then again I did stuff like that when I was a lot younger and more limber.
I love riding, but at my age I get too many aches and pains if I'm on the bike for too long a stretch.
Its like the old saying that goes something like, 'what we used to do all night, now takes all night to do'.
