I need new tires. My question for y'all is, is it possible to get the wheels balanced with the weights added on the inside instead of the lip of the wheel?
It looks tacky to me and seems like they could spin it, mark the spot for the weights and then stick them just inside the tire so as not to be seen.
Is this possible? My local Harley dealers here say no.

Yea, not a good idea. The weight could come loose and damage the tire from the inside and you would never know until the tire fails. I would look into Dynabeads, you can search the forums there is plenty of information on them. I would send a message to the guys at HogPro, even if you didn't buy your wheels from them, my experience is that they have been more than helpful and can answer just about any question on the subject of wheels and tires.
