I agree with all the good points brought up here. I have been reading this thread for about a year and a half while I was over in Afghanistan, before I bought my Lo. I had lots of ideas for mods I wanted to do because of this thread and now I am starting in on them (reflectors only lasted about an hour). I suck at doing my own wrenching but I am trying, that's why all the questions. Thanks to all on here that make this a thread worthy of following for 1.5 years and growing
Installed removable docking kit for detachable backrest. While I was at it, I installed smoked front signal lenses with LED bulbs, removed rear signals permanently and installed a very low profile rear LED tail light with integrated signals.
Well like I posted on the FB page when it happened.
Well my engine died on me in michigan on the way back to georgia from sturgis. So it's in storage near Chicago until I get back from Korea. So I have to wait a year until I get back to get a diagnosis. Got 12k out of the motor while it was a stage three and 7k stock. It may be something small so time will tell. it was a pretty loud chirp in the front cylinder. It lost all power on the highway and then turned off and would no start back up. Of course it then proceeded to rain on me for about an hour. Unfortunately it was late saturday during labor day weekend and I couldnt wait until tuesday to have it checked out. Engine upgrade perhaps is in my future.

Looking good Gommee. That color looks great with the black and satin contrast.
The pics are not the best but, I just finish up my passing lights and windshield mods. I added Harley LED passing lights with independent control harness and relocated my turn signals. I also added a Klock Werks Bilboard windshield. I also added the Auxiliary Brake Light/Running Light/Turn Signal Conversion Kit. The LED are so bright, very happy with them. The Klock Werks windshield is kick ***. I replaced a Harley windshield. I have noticed a major decreased in buffering. I'm also very happy with the turn signal conversion kit. Now when i hit my brakes it is 3 times s bright.
Could you gives the details of your front end build please. It's about 90% of what I want mine to look like. TIA.
It's not, but this has been a community where people can share their experience with their Lo without dealing with all the other BS that goes on on the rest of the forum. Go back and read this thread from the beginning, we have been discussing the simplest of mods to the most complex of mods and occasionally bits of our personal lives. Have we answered some of the same questions over and over....yea, but there is a reason that this is one of the most active older threads in the softail section. It's the community that we have built and I'm proud to be part of. If it bothers you then why don't YOU go start your own thread instead of trying to change something that has been going on for over four and a half years. If all you want is pictures then there is a whole section of the forum just for that, go there and stay there, you won't even have to deal with all the stuff in the softail section.
Be happy to leave you know-nothing-about-wrenching guys alone in your circle jerk here.
