i don't know how some of you guys are able to ride on a stock seat. after 50 miles my *** hurts and itches
Damn I have done 500 mile days on the Barebones. No problems but then I spent 20 plus years on a ridged qwith a leather covered hard pan seat, and now sit in my truck 10-15 hours a day.
Most of the time the amount of padding on a seat is not the issue. It is how your butt conforms to the seat and how you weight is distributed over it. My stock seat was very uncomfortable until I sent it to Mean City for a rework.

just bought a new air cleaner cover, it was onsale from custom dynamics, also picked up a rain suit. my first real one, last one i got a walmart. this new one comes with a jacket, pants and leg gators.
i do that too. got caught in the rain on the way home from a trip. spent 7 1/2 hours in the pouring rain. me and the boys came through a tunnel bridge that went under water, when we came out the other side the wind was blowing so hard it blew us across the road almost into the guard rail, i could see them go out and going across the road one by one, i had never been so scared in all my life cause i knew soon it was my turn. i had on some rain gear but also chaps, mind you this was in march and cold. the chaps got so soaked that i had a hard time shifting, had to put my foot over the peg and shift with the back of my heel, which made for an interesting ride.
Man, I can't imagine spending that long in the rain. I've been caught in it but never more than an hour from home. If that happens I figure I'll just go home and change so I don't care too much if I get soaked.
