it has a ton of room, you can even put stuff in the compartment that is part of the tunnel. when i get home i'll take a picture of it and post it for you. i'm going on a trip on friday so i have to pack it anyway
Love this bike! I'm torn though. I love this bike because of the way it looks as I bought it. Problem is I used to have a bagger. I put a swingarm bag on and that's pretty much my only mod other than exhaust. Sick of wearing a backpack to work though and once a year I make a long trip somewhere. This bike sucks for that right now. I'm not sure if I want to spend money on all the mods necessary to make this bike decent for hauling and long rides (as well as taking away the look I love) or just accepting it's not meant for it and trading for a roadking or glide.
So here's a few pics of the different phases of my fatty.
Didn't have time to pull the fairing off and put it back on, I'm in a rush today and got a nice ride in but it's basically held on by 4 hex bolts.
here is the bag after i put some clothes in it, put a tissue box under so you can see the tunnel.
Thanks! Looks like that would definitely hold enough for me for a trip. $110 isn't bad either! I definitely have some things to think about. This would be great for a long trip but obviously not ideal for the everyday riding. If I don't buy saddlebags for my trip this summer I think I will be buying this bag.
I made all of my accessories detachable. Fully loaded it looks like a bagger. Stripped down it looks like a bobber.
I too hated wearing a back pack. When I don't have the bags on, I have a small fender rack that I strap a small barrel bag to.

What do you guys think about the motherwell rack vs the duffel bag that goes over the back seat that Freak show posted. The motherwell rack would have the advantage of always being there to strap a bag on, but I'm not sure how much I can carry on that 7" inch rack with no sissy bar. Any of you that own this rack can you comment on how much you can fit? Could I carry a large duffel bag of similar size to the one freak show posted?

i do 3 and 4 day trips with my club, holds that much easy

i have a rack on the backrest for when my wife and i go out riding, but i keep a small roll bag on it. you can put a decent bag on one for enough for a few days, but a roll bag won't be enough. you can strap another bag to a roll bag as long as you tie it down good. but i don''t like to stack bags as they slip and slide around to much. then i have to keep pulling over to fix them

I went with the Bluetooth infinity, the other option of a CD player seemed unappealing. It's a marine unit and waterproof. Easy to use and the 6x9s push enough sound for me. I can hear it when I need to, but the stereo wasn't the most important feature to me. The "fangs" on there now are fixed but removable. They make a BIG difference in wind. Soonish I'll be looking a adjustable ones. Any other q's just ask.
With a fairing like this you'll probably need to relocate your front turn signals. I took mine off the bars completely and use the led light rings on my forks. Fairing on or off they look good.
Oh and that windshield is an LRS recurved. The fairing comes with a standard one. I waited for LRS to run one of their 50% off sales and ordered. They are, by the way, a pleasure to do business with. And the bag is just a cheapo from Amazon. Holds what needs holdin.
