Wow. I Just finished reading this entire Thread. Felt like a great novel that I didn't want to end. Anyways, I have learned a great deal from the Lo clan and you all have given me much to contemplate. Thank you for that. It has begun. -JR
Well ladies and gentlemen, I feel a little like I have betrayed all my Fat Boy Lo forum friends. Stopped at a local dealer on Christmas Eve day. Ended up trading my 2010 Fat Boy Lo in on a 2013 Street Glide. Being in the Christmas spirit and in a crazy mood, the new bike will spend two weeks in the shop being customized. Frame blacked out, motor chromed, bags extended...the list goes on.
As much as I enjoyed the 'Lo, I think the 'Glide will suit my mission a little better. Hope I didn't make a mistake!

I wonder if you could have just bought a fairing and some stretched bags \ fenders to have a more "convertible" bike. Cruiser and street slammer all in one.. Got to do what you got to do but Imo i can't think of one street glide (decked out or not) that looks better than a Lo. Lol. As long as you are still riding and enjoying the ride then that's all that matters. Sorry to see you go but id Still ride with you any day. :-D

Yep, I see a Road or a Street Glide in my future, When I get OLD and Grey!!! Just not sure I'd like the "A" motor though. I'll have to ride one, one of these days. LOL
Actually I did put removable fairing and bags on my Lo. (Had Mustang leather bags, which by the way are very nice bags) I just didn't like it when it was done.
Fierofly, old and grey? Well, I'm 53 and partially grey, so I guess you're right.
I trade bikes every 3 or so years so who knows, I may be back to the Lo next time around.
Well the aux light bar from Santa is finally on the bike. It looks good but isn't done yet since the whole light setup is waiting on a Trucklite Phase 7 and powder coated french trim rings. That will probably happen in time for my birthday in March. Unfortunately my Lo will be on the tender till March 2nd since I have to go to the Marine Corps Staff Academy for seven weeks of motivation. I think the next step after the light setup is finished will be some mirrors.

I thought about trading in my SUV recently, but the more I thought about it the more I don't like having a car payment. Same with the bike. Don't miss making payments.
