Griff. How bad did you scratch the paint when youu took off your reflector? Try some Meguiar's Scratch X 2.0 that stuff works really good most of the time.
A -lot of mountain ranges here and open country to ride. Am I the only Lo rider in the mountains? Can't be. To many two lane open roads in the middle of nowhere to be the only one here?

They look like it scratched right into the metal? I mean it was a piece of plastic to scratch the forks like that I was like WTF!? small factory scratches in metal go horizontal these scratches I put in go vertical and they are like kind of shiny?
Used to live in Boise many years ago just off of Broadway. I miss floating the river on the weekends and after school. Used to go up around Barber Dam and party. I know what you mean about lots of cool places to ride. Stanley and Elk summit were always a favorite ride of mine.
WOW! very nice. So you know! nice. They kinda ruined floating the river now. No more alcohol allowed on the river. I have not been on since lol. Cool you know what I am talking about. Stanley riding on a bike is awesome too.
And another welcome to the forum. Bike is looking good. Have fun with it and don't forget about our current free mod of the week. Reflector removal. Of course this is optional but I feel obligated these days for some reason to let you know about it. Have fun and ride safe.
If you look closely at the pic on the back of the tow truck you can see that the reflectors are already gone my friend. We were at a light on a fairly steep hill and I was easing out on the clutch when my wife and I heard a god-awful noise. I thought I had blown the transmission. However after we made it to the top of the hill we found the culprit. It's a quick release for a truck headlight that managed to ruin our day. All good now though. At the time it sucked.
Oh and I used some halogen lamps to heat the hell out of the reflectors and then took a small screwdriver and floss to it. WD-40 cleaned her up after that.
I would assume that a retune would be ideal. As the two different pipes will have different back pressure and flow.
Just to be sure.
I am assuming the same, but from what I read about the software for the SE tuner, the only option is "race exhaust". I might just need to buy the software and cable to do this myself. Hate not doing anything on my bikes
I used WD-40 as well along with a plastic scraper... Don't do it. Guess it's time to use Jim's pics and directions to remove fork bottoms have the powder coated, if I cannot fix.
I would assume I should be able to buff them out or something. This bike is so delicate.

For some reason I have been dubbed to reflector police on this thread. LOL
I have the tire warranty from Harley as well and have had my rear tire replaced once due to a roofing nail. Better luck on your next venture.
