Retired about two weeks ago. Leaving in the morning for a 10 day ride to the Outer Banks of NC. Looking forward to it a lot. Great place and beautiful scenery. Also Bike Week in Nags Head. I'll post later with some photos.
Hi Gman, The wife and I get out to the OBX about 8 to 10 times a year. It is
about 435 miles for us, but we go often. I suggest going over NC 32 across the Albemarle Sound toward
Elizabeth City to US 158 which goes down the Outer Banks. If you haven't
been to Elizabeth City, it is worth the trip. Also, if time permits, try US 264
around through Engelhard and Belhaven. Some beautiful scenery around through
there. Coastal NC is beautiful.
