Default Oil temp

Wondering what the average oil temp should be on a TC88 motor with fuel injection. My oler Evo ran about 170 here in PA. My 05 TC88 carb ran about 185 and my TC 96 FI ran about 215 after Stage I. This bike is an 02 with Stage I FI.

215 to 225 degrees is what my bike generally runs at.

I was surprised it ran that high. Thought my TC96 would have been higher then the TC88.

My '02 Heritage has been running a bit under 200, but it ain't that hot here in Georgia...... YET!

I plan on changing to Amsoil before long as synthetic handles heat better than dino oil.

Runs about 205 F to 225 F in 75 F to 80 F abient temperatures. Below 70 F ambient it runs at 180 F which is the Thermostat setting on the Oil Cooler. The bike is a TC96 with SE A/C, V&H BS Exhgaust, TTS re-Program, MoCo Oil Cooler, 20W-50 Synthetic Oil. I also have an older Corvette and it's EDngine Oil Temps run pretty consistenly at 225 F to 135 F. As long as I don't see 250 F + I'm OK . . .

HD sez the operating temp is 230*, so if you are running 215, you are well within the range.
