best sounding pipes on fat boy????

Just bought an 06 fat boy and would like to know which pipes sound the best????? Louder the better! My cousin has a Detroit Chopper with some Hooker shortys, slashed tips and they sound awesome. Just wondering if i got the same pipes would they sound close?? He has a 1550 evo S&S motor. any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance!!

I have an 06 Fatboy and I am running the V&H Big Shots Staggered (with baffels removed). The cross over power chamber gives you a little more power, and they sound awesome. Loud enough for me (low rumble) and loud enough to set off every car alarm in the neighborhood.

I am also a Thunderheader fan. I've owned two Fatboys and had Thunderheaders on both. I love the sound they make.

I run V&H Longshot HS and I'd say they're loud as hell.....and when you get used to the sound, you could always take the baffles out of them.

Have you gone on the V&H website and listened to their sound clips of each pipe? Gives you a good judge of how length affects sound.
