I'm concerned that putting any weight in the bags that they might swing in again...I think I might need some support.
I agree..I think with the larger bags you need a set up like the Heritage with the bottom support..If I go detachable I will go with Bubba Brake setup I think. just my opinion, but I would sell the EZ's on Ebay before I modified them...If you make the mod and it doesn't work, you're stuck with them

Called Bubba's and thier brackets will work ONLY on Harley bags. The leatherworks bags are flat backed and their system is not made for that. He told me to buy the heritage fender struts and Heritage bags.....[&o]

Talked to a guy that has Boss bags on a VTX (getting hubby some bags) and he said he originally had the same problem with them...had some work done on the hookup point.
Well hubby owns a welder sooooooo custom supports here I come.
I have a set of EG hard bags mounted on Ghost Brackets, and I have that same problem of the bags "swinging" because they're not anchored at the bottom. I was thinking about fabricating a set of lower supports for them.
My customization worked out well. Hubby added some T-brakets on theback of my bags that curves slightly in (see pic below). Not sure if that will work for you with hard bags though....I needed something more rigid...you already have that.
My bags were sold with the Easy brackets. I had the same trouble. As said earlier, a couple washers did the trick. But when you spend that kind of loot, you really want perfection, don't you?
It has been my experiance that the ghost or easy brakets work better if the saddle bags have a hard shell back. If they are leather backed they will sway in. [8D]
I was disappointed that the bags curled in the way they did. Might not have had a problem otherwise. I will say Leatherworks offered to try and fix it but the solution we came up with probably cost less then sending the bags back to the Manuafacturer.
The Easy Brakets folks just basically said "Tough ****".
Hubby bought Boss bags those were really solid setups.. I might go that way if and when I change up. But I really love the style of my bags better.
I had a set of Easy Brackets when I had my Honda Shadow ACE. The bags I used had only a leather back so what I did was cut outapiece of Plexi-Glass the shape of the back of the bag and installed it inside the bag and then bolted on the Easy Bracket through the plexi-glass as well. Worked fine but I only used the bags once in a while.
