Default Squeaky Clutch

Question for anyone who may have an answer. I started noticing a slight squeak on my 05 Standard occasionally when I engage my clutch lever. The squeak sounds like it is coming from the handle, but it will never squeak when the bike is just sitting still, not running. It seems to squeak just every so often when shifting. It is not a loud squeak, more like a chirp if any thing. Think a little WD-40 on the handle bolt would solve it? Could it be something more serious? Do the cables need to be lubed? I have braided, stainless cables on 18" Apes. Any advice is appreciated.

Lube your cables for sure. Sometimes I throw a blob of grease on the end of the cable. I like Dri Slide for cable lubing. Read your manual and it says the cables should be lubed every 5000 miles.
