Default HD's new speedo/tach combo

Hi all, I noticed the new HD speedo/tach combo (74720-10) and was wondering if anyone has one yet. Was thinking about getting one for the wifes Deluxe.

Looks great and at $299.99 its priced much better than others I've seen.

I think that's the same gauge as is on the Softail Convertible SE, and I've seen it on there, and it's really, really nice. See if you can get to a dealer and check that out in person.

That is the one that came stock on my bike. The only issue I have had is riding at night, it is so bright that it has a reflection on the windshield that is right in your line of sight. I have not figured out how to fix that yet but other than that I like it a lot.

Hope this helps.

Default speedo

I have seen the older version of this speedo tach for the deluxe. to me it makes no sense, do you really want to be looking down there at 90 to 100 miles an hour seems unsafe to me . there are some very small digital tachs that you can mount up front that would be easy to see while still watching were your going. check these out http://www.speedwayinstruments.com

I must be getting old as I rarely drive 100 anymore. Not sure how most do it or if the OPs wife really uses the Tach but I almost never look at the Tach and just shift when the motor tells me too. Never had one before this bike so maybe I'm just used to not using it.

You did create a little spark though....now I'm thinking about winding this SE out some tonight.

Chrisr99 on this forum has it on his Fat Boy Lo. He is also my neighbor and riding partner so I've seen it. I think it looks really great. It has a digital MPH and a dial-style Tach going around it so as long as you don't mind the digital I don't think you'll be disappointed.
