Question Removing side markers / deuce

I read a post earlier about removing the side markers off the front forks on a deuce would make it look a lot cleaner. Does anyone know how to remove them without screwing up the chrome?

I loosened my reflectors with a heat gun and then removed them by hand. I used mineral spirits to remove the adhesive residue.
