Default 08 Night Train Riser Question

Was looking to change my NT riser to a pullback version. Bikers Choice has two, one is 6.5 and the other is a 8 inch riser, both pullbacks. Question is, can I go with the 8 inch pull back without changing cables etc? Isa there enough slack in current setup, or should I just go with 6.5? thanks!

Sorry I don't have an answer to your question but I was wondering if you have a link or part # for those 8" pullbacks. I have a NT myself and am also looking for some new risers for 1 inch bars. So far I've found pullbacks in 6", 6.5", 7" and 9.5" but no 8 inchers. I tried plugging Bikers Choice 8" pullbacks into google but only came up with 4.5".

if that doesnt work, do a search on powersportrider.com page 291.

really would like to know if I can go with them without any cable changes.......

If I remember correctly, when I put my 6.5" pull back risers on my NT (back when I had drag bars) I didn't have much slack with them on at all. I'm thinking it was the brake cable that was pretty short. I'm gonna have to go back in my pics & check. Will update soon!

Yeah the Brake cable was fine, it was the clutch & throttle cables that were cutting it close. CHECK IT OUT!

At least the brake line will need to be longer. I think at 8" everything will need to be longer. No big deal though. it's only money.

I put the 9.5 risers on my train with all the stock cables. Only one cutting it close it the front brake line but it still works.

so from the replies looks like the 09 train went with the 9.5 pullback riser with stock cables, so I am thinking I should be ok with the 8, and definitely ok with the 6.5. Any other opinions?
