96B Spark Plug help

I broke a plug last night, and noticed that it was an HD 6R12. I'm assuming that Harley markets their own plug but, I went online to the Champion website and crossed the 6R12 to a RA8HC. I went down to the local auto parts store and bought one and everything looks the same except for the gap of course which I can change when I get ready to install it. My question is, will this plug work or am I missing something? I can get one from the Harley dealer if I want to drive out of my way but, If I may be paying alot more for the same plug. Anyone else swaped out their plugs?

I think itl work after running bike check for any codes but u mite went to run both same plugs

I believe the stock plugs are made my champion.

I bought new plugs the other day from my dealer. I think they were $3.95 each.

I swapped mine out with Iridium that I purchased on-line from Sparkplugs.com
Can't say they make all that much difference, but they've been running clean for 20,000 miles now.

Plug Swap

The Champions will work fine. I swapped out mine on my old RK for Champs. and never had any issues with them. I also have used NGK with no problem. And I also believe as one poster said HD's are Champions.

i used the screamin eagle ones and the ngk iridium. here is a chart of the plugs.
if you can index the plugs they work better.
