Default Deluxe bags do not close tightly

I'm new and hope I did this right.

I wanted to know from any deluxe riders (or deluxe friends) who have the deluxe bags have problems with them? Mine do not close properly and the more miles (close to 3000 now) I put on the worse they are getting. Went to the dealer yesterday and he said he was not aware of a problem, took pictures and said they would be calling Harley Davidson, but until enough complaints come in, nothing will probably be done. He also gave me the telephone number for Milwaukee, WI customer service - they are only open M-F 8-4:30, so I haven't had a chance to call yet. The #'s are 414-343-4056 or 414-343-4680 in case anyone else wants to call also - if there are enough problems and calls - maybe something can be done.

The left side bag is worse than the right side bag at this time. Such a drag having to keep things in plastic in case it rains!

Saw a deluxe in Sturgis with Boss bags and they sure looked nice, much more room also. Wish I would have known before I bought the deluxe bags, but thats how we learn!

I had the Deluxe bags and I thought they were useless. Way too small . I sold them on Ebay and bought the leatherworks bags made specifically for the Deluxe with matching weave and braid. I will install this weekend.

Mine don't close properly either, with the left being worse than the right. I did get some waterproof liner bags in case I get stuck in the rain. Looking at the Leatherworks bags and unloading the HD bags on eBay.

Had the same problem ...almost an inch gap in one of them. That's the reason I changed mine -- my dealer took them back on a 90 day return policy and ordered me new bags from another company.

Looked at those things before I bought the Leatherworks bags...talked to 4 dealers about them. Two dealers were honest and told me they SUCKED...others said they saw no problems. Glad I went with the Leatherworks...

I just ordered my deluxe bags. I wish I'd known this problems before shelling out the $$$$$$$$. Do the leatherworks bags look like they belong to the deluxe?

I have the Leather works 110s with easy brackets but they require lower pipes. I'm also looking for a solution to support the bottom of the bags because they swing in just a bit far....

the 120's Look fantastic, and fit beautifully. Nicely compliments the bike with the basketweave and braiding. Wife lo9ves them on her Deluxe. Well made, and well worth the cost.
