Default Primary Cover Help!

I have a 4 in VFW emblem that i want to mount on my primary cover. Not sure of how to accomplish this. Thought of double sided automotive tape, but wasn't sure if it would hold up to the heat. Any suggestions?

The best way that I have found to mount items is heat resistant clear silicone... I have an emblem on my primary cover thats been held there for 7 years and 70,000 miles with one application.
